Dear Friends and Family,

I love the Bay Area and calling it home, and have done so for over 50 years. I have always been raised to give back to the community and I feel fortunate to be able to do so by leveraging such top notch organizations like Beyond Emancipation. The fact is, there are foster youth, Bay Area natives just like me, facing that challenge without a family support system, not to mention financial means to handle being in this beautiful but expensive area.

Participating in Beyond Emancipation has invigorated me because I've seen firsthand how connecting foster youth with stable housing and support sets them up to beat the odds and establish themselves as thriving adults! Whether you can give $5 or $5,000, your support truly makes a difference. 

Here are some staggering statistics

• Over 50,000 foster youth live in California
• 25% of foster youths experience homelessness within two years of aging out of care.
• Only 53% graduate high school on time, compared to 83% of their peers.
• 93% of foster youth want to go to college. Only 4% earn their degree.

Here is how Beyond Emancipation helps

• Assisted over 300 youths with a safe and stable living environment
• Helped over 40 students graduate high school 
• Supported over 70 college students
